The Geographical Association Annual Conference and Exhibition is a three-day professional development and networking event for all phases of geographical education. The 2027 edition, themedPassionate about Geography, takes place from6 to 8 April 2027 at Sheffield College, City Campus.
The Conference is planned and reviewed by the GA Conference Planning Board. The programme includes lectures, workshops, research papers, field visits and networking, as well as the annual GA awards ceremony and Public Lecture. Alongside the sessions, the exhibition brings together exam boards, publishers, charities and educational suppliers. The organiser describes it as the largest face-to-face conference for geography teachers in the UK.

The previous edition,Geography makes a difference, already took place at the same campus from 8–10 April 2026. 2027 session hours and the full programme had not yet been posted when this listing was verified (the programme page still says details for 2027 are coming soon). Do not rely on leftover 2026 timetable copy (opening 12:00 on Wednesday 8 April, closing 17:10 on Friday 10 April).
The conference hub still has a leftover line that pairs the 2027 title with “6–8 April 2026”; the dedicated overview page and the Association’s own announcement both state6–8 April 2027.
Speakers, exhibitors and tickets
Session proposals for 2027 were invited from 15 June to 31 August 2026. Exhibition and sponsorship packages are handled by the organiser — contact[email protected]. Ticket booking for 2027 is linked from the conference overview (“Book tickets”).

City Campus is about a five-minute walk from Sheffield station. Supertram Blue Line services towards Halfway stop at Granville Road/The Sheffield College, outside the campus; services towards Malin Bridge stop across the street. On-site parking is available, with additional parking at Sheffield station. The Getting There page still carries leftover 2026 copy and notes that 2027 travel information is coming soon.
