Earthquake Countermeasures Technology Exhibition (Shinsai Countermeasures Technology Expo) 2027
The Earthquake Countermeasures Technology Exhibition (Japanese: Shinsai Taisai Gijutsu-ten) is organized by the Exhibition Executive Committee and run by Exhibition Technologies Inc. It is described as the only trade show in Japan bringing together professionals from the country's earthquake and natural-disaster countermeasure sectors.
The 31st edition is scheduled for 4-5 February 2027 at PACIFICO Yokohama Exhibition Hall D, 1-1-1 Minatomirai, Nishi-ku, Yokohama, Kanagawa, running 10:00-17:00 on both days. Admission is free with visitor registration. The program combines an exhibition with symposium and seminar sessions.
Exhibit categories include earthquake countermeasures (seismic-resistant, vibration-control and base-isolation technologies, earthquake early-warning systems, emergency toilets, emergency food, generators, shelters, water purification, communication and confirmation systems, furniture tip-over prevention, disaster-prevention goods), tsunami countermeasures (shelters, hazard maps, lifeboats, prediction systems), flood countermeasures (river-level sensors, flood barriers, pumps), landslide countermeasures (debris and rockfall detection systems, GIS, rain gauges), lightning protection, tornado and strong-wind monitoring, and volcano countermeasures (BCP, observation systems). The visitor profile includes central and local government, fire and police services, utilities and transport operators, universities and research institutes, hospitals and care facilities, construction consultants and contractors, disaster-prevention manufacturers and general companies.
The 30th edition was held on 5-6 February 2026 at the same venue with 12,268 registered visitors. A co-located Vibration Technology Exhibition (18th edition) is also planned for the same dates at PACIFICO Yokohama.
