Международный литературный фестиваль BuchBasel 2026
BuchBasel is a literary festival scheduled for 13–15 November 2026 in Basel. The event showcases several archival categories: a Programme Archive, Guest Archive, Impressions Archive, Competition Archive, and an Audio Archive, offering a comprehensive view of past and upcoming literary activities. The festival recently celebrated a new audience record of about 12,500 admissions, surpassing the previous year’s figures. Leadership transitions are highlighted: long‑time LiteraturBasel director Katrin Eckert will retire at the end of 2026, with Marion Regenscheit set to assume overall direction of BuchBasel from 1 February 2027. A new programme curator position will open in 2027 to shape the festival and Literaturhaus programming.
