Jefferson County Fair 2026
The Jefferson County Fair Association’s 2026 Fair Week runs from August 16 to August 22. Highlights include extensive livestock judging—horse, rabbit, poultry, sheep, beef, swine, dairy cattle, and goats—plus 4‑H/FFA shows and a livestock buyer’s reception. Commercial Exhibit Buildings stay open daily for vendors and displays. The Antique Tractor Area features tractor pulls, pedal‑tractor contests, and slow‑tractor races. Motorsports events span UTV/Side‑by‑Side flat‑drag racing, bull riding, demolition derby, tractor‑truck pulls, and dirt‑drag racing. A carnival area offers rides, games, and food vendors such as Mountaineer Meat Smokers and Pizza City. Contestants compete in Miss Jefferson County Fair, Junior Miss, Young Miss, bake sales, and various eating challenges. Evening entertainment includes band performances, square‑dance demos, magic shows, and a senior citizens matinee. The fair also provides volunteer, membership, and exhibitor opportunities, reinforcing its long‑standing community and agricultural focus since 1953.
