Aledo Rhubarb Fest 2026
The Aledo Rhubarb Festival, held June 5‑6, 2026 in Aledo, Illinois, celebrates rhubarb with food, music, and community activities. Main exhibits include a wide array of rhubarb dishes—pies, ice cream, soda, and a Rhubarb Cook‑Off contest—offered by local vendors and the historic House of Burgess. Entertainment features live bands on the Bandshell stage. Visitors can shop at vendor booths, explore the festival map, and use designated parking. The free, family‑friendly event spans Central Park, the Mercer County Courthouse lawn, and downtown streets at the crossroads of Illinois Highways 17 and 94. Founded in 1991 by Darlene Johnson, the festival has grown from 67 attendees to 10,000‑14,000 guests and is recognized as the Rhubarb Capital of Illinois. No pets are allowed.
