Fourth Global Ophthalmology Summit 2026
The 2026 Global Ophthalmology Summit (GOS) will take place in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania from August 7‑9, 2026. Co‑hosted by the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Wills Eye Hospital at Thomas Jefferson University, and the Global Ophthalmology Consortium (19 academic institutions), the summit’s theme is “Innovation, Technology, and AI in Scaling Global Health.” The program includes scientific sessions, a poster abstract competition, travel‑grant opportunities, and a hackathon/labs track. Awards such as the D.H. Cherwek Award and Research Award recognize outstanding contributions. Attendees can network through receptions, explore collaborations, and engage with exhibitors showcasing cutting‑edge ophthalmic technologies and AI solutions. Abstract submissions for posters are due March 13, 2026. The event also features an executive and program committee, and is supported by a consortium of global partners.
