Quilt Canada 2026
The Canadian Quilters Association (CQA/ACC) promotes a wide range of quilting activities. The flagship event, Quilt Canada 2026, will be held in Winnipeg, MB from June 17‑20, 2026, featuring exhibitions, workshops, and competitions. Ongoing Quilt Alongs include themes such as True Colours (2025), Oatmeal Raisin Mystery (2024), and Sea You in Nova Scotia (2023). The National Juried Show (NJS) showcases award‑winning quilts, with winners listed for 2025 and 2024. Design challenges like TrendTex (2023‑2025) and the JN Harper Youth Challenge (2023‑2025) encourage innovation and youth participation. The Guild Rosette Invitational highlights top guilds, with winners for 2023‑2025. Additional programs include the Sustainability Challenge, a call for Bomb Girls quilt patches commemorating WWII factory workers, and featured articles on emotional quilting and “quilting outside the lines.” The association also offers judge certification, guild resources, and a monthly e‑newsletter.
