Carolina Perez was inspired by her mother Teresa, who she worked with for 16 years in Sao Paulo at Teresa Perez Tours.Carolina founded Travelweek Sao Paulo in 2009. Reed Exhibitions acquired the company a few years later and rebranded it ILTM Latim America.She was eager to begin a new project after a period of sabbatical. Carolina founded DUCO Italia in 2016 after being deeply inspired by Giuseppe Verdi's opera Nabucco.DUCO is a company that was created to discover the beauty and traditions of Italy.A destination-oriented event focusing on high-end travels in a boutique format.DUCO’s unique format has had a positive impact on the upscale tourism industry in Italy over the last 7 years.In 2021, DUCO will expand by launching DUCO France. In its fourth year, this summit continues to highlight the excellence of French Hospitality, bringing together the best hoteliers, suppliers, and distributors from across France. This unique, invitation-only event is held in Paris and offers a cultural immersion. The charm of France is brought to life in Paris through a five day event that is filled with connections and inspired by French lifestyle.The latest addition is DUCO Spain & Portugal. It will debut in Marbella in Spain in 2025. Carolina's desire to explore new frontiers of high-end travel is reflected in this expansion.Carolina has also committed herself to a project that is close to her: The Hotel Queen. She has a social media account where she shares fun, curated travel content with her unique perspective.Carolina was born and raised in Sao Paulo. She is a Brazilian and Italian citizen. She is proud to have created and contributed to tourism in Italy, France, Spain, and Portugal.Carolina, who lives in Lisbon with her husband and daughter, son and three stepchildren, loves to cycle and spend time in the mountains and by the sea.
